Phelim and Nicola
Pastor Phelim and Nicola Doherty have served in the apostolic church in Irish street over the last 20 years. Since 2004 they have had pastoral responsibility for the assembliy in Derry. Local leadership is accountable to a regional pastors council comprising ministers from the other Irish apostolic churches who meet on a regular basis and also to the national leadership team of the Apostolic Church (ACUK). Phelim has served on the national leadership team of the ACUK since 2012.
Phelim and Nicola are both veterinary surgeons and met while training at the Royal Veterinary College in London. Shortly after coming to faith in Christ, Nicola was miraculously healed of a chronic debilitating illness and God blessed them with four wonderful children. In recent years they have experienced a growing revelation of the worth of every person to Christ and the magnitude of how much has already been freely given to us all through Christ. On their days off, you will always find them somewhere in Donegal!
Associate Pastor
Paul and Roisin
Pastor Paul and Roisin Crawford have had many years of experience in leadership both in church and charity settings. They have served in River City since 2020 and in 2024 Paul was appointed by ACUK as a pastor on the leadership team. They both have extensive experience in engineering and construction and together they led the STEM Aware charity which from 2011 engaged with thousands of children through staging science events in communities and schools. They have a passion for reaching our local communities with the joy and power of the Gospel. Their time off will usually be spent with their four amazing children and if Paul gets his way this will involve good food!
Associate Pastor
Ribu and Raymol
Pastor Ribu and Raymol Thomas are originally from Kerala in South India. They have been living in Derry for over twenty years and ministering the Gospel both to the other Malayalam speakers in the city and as part of the ministry of River City Church. In 2011 Ribu’s calling as a pastor was recognised by the Apostolic Church and he was ordained at River City Church where he continues to serve as part of the eldership. Ribu has a teaching ministry that brings revelation of our new identity in Christ and the rest from works that the Holy Spirit calls us into. Ribu and Raymol have three children and to find them on their day off, just listen out for the most wonderful laughter you have ever heard!
Elders
Ife and Priscilla
Dr Ifeoluwa and Priscilla Gbadamosi serve on the eldership team in River City Church. Originally from Nigeria, they moved from Enniskillen to Derry and for several years now the River City family have been blessed by their ministry, not just their teaching gifts but the joy and liberty they walk in. Ifeoluwa serves the local community as a GP and Priscilla has degrees in Physiology and has used her expertise in science to create a business specialising in natural and organic ingredients for skin and hair design. They have two young sons who are full of wisdom and their time off will usually find them exploring the beauty of the local area.
